Head of Bashkortostan thanked the President for assessing the region's potential
A new Russian-Tajik Industrial Park is set to take shape, backed by federal funding and led by Bashkortostan’s Development Corporation. The project has already drawn interest from investors, with delegations visiting key regions in Tajikistan to explore opportunities. Officials say the initiative will boost industrial ties between the two countries.
The industrial park will specialise in light industry, metallurgy, machine tool manufacturing, and medical equipment production. Bashkortostan’s government has emphasised the project as a priority for expanding economic cooperation with foreign partners.
Radiy Khabirov, Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, acknowledged President Vladimir Putin’s support for the region’s economic potential. Khabirov also highlighted the importance of joint ventures in strengthening trade and industrial links. Potential investors include Russian industrial and construction firms, Tajik state-owned enterprises, and private backers from Bashkortostan. A delegation from the region recently toured Tajikistan’s Sughd Region, the capital Dushanbe, and Khatlon Region to assess sites and discuss partnerships.
The project moves forward with federal funding and active investor engagement. Bashkortostan’s Development Corporation will oversee its implementation, focusing on key industrial sectors. The park aims to create new production hubs while deepening economic ties between Russia and Tajikistan.
