Head of Gorodets District Urges Money to be Sent to SVO, Not Fireworks
Aleksandr Mudrov, head of Gorodets District, delivered his weekly video address to residents ahead of the New Year. In his speech, he covered local updates, safety advice, and a call to redirect spending from fireworks to military support.
Mudrov began by outlining recent progress in the district, including the completion of school heating connections. He also shared plans for upcoming Youth Day celebrations, part of the ongoing initiative codenamed Zarya (Dawn).
Shifting to holiday safety, he reminded residents of fire risks during New Year festivities. He strongly advised against setting off fireworks, urging them to avoid potential accidents. Instead, he proposed donating the money saved on fireworks to support military personnel. The address combined practical updates with a direct appeal for community responsibility during the celebrations.
The district head’s message highlighted both local achievements and a push for safer, more meaningful holiday spending. Residents were left with clear guidance on celebrations and an option to contribute to the military effort.
