Helmstedt to Honor Berta and Eilhard Henschel with Stolpersteine on November 10
Helmstedt recently commemorated the Lippmann/Rosemann family with Stolpersteine at 38 Neumärker Straße on March 4, 2024. Upcoming on November 10 is another installation honouring Berta and Eilhard Henschel at Henkestraße.
On Monday, November 10, at 12:30 p.m., two Stolpersteine will be laid in Henkestraße, Helmstedt, honouring Berta and Eilhard Henschel. The event, organized by the 'Stolpersteine' project group led by Susanne Weihmann, will be accompanied by two school classes. Traffic restrictions will be in place, with one lane remaining open for vehicles.
Since 2011, Helmstedt has installed a total of 20 Stolpersteine, paying tribute to victims of the Nazi regime. The most recent addition was for the Lippmann/Rosemann family at 38 Neumärker Straße on March 4, 2024.
The upcoming Stolpersteine installation in Henkestraße continues Helmstedt's tradition of remembering Nazi victims. The event, involving local schools and community leaders, ensures these stories remain a part of the city's collective memory.
