The defense powerhouse Helsing, renowned for its AI applications, is all set to take over the Bavarian aircraft manufacturer Grob Aircraft SE. According to a recent announcement, the two parties have signed a deal to join forces.
Helsing, based in Munich, announced that the collaboration between the two companies will lead to the creation of cutting-edge technologies for air combat. Leveraging Grob Aircraft's proven expertise in composite aircraft manufacturing and Helsing's AI and software solutions will provide a massive boost to innovation and growth.
With approximately 275 employees, Grob Aircraft boasts significant experience in both military and civilian aviation, as well as global flight training programs. The company's skillsets make it a prime candidate for integrating Helsing's AI technologies, according to the AI company.
Helsing is currently developing the HX-2 kamikaze drone, which has already seen action in Ukraine. The company also recently showcased an underwater system.
