Hero of Russia shares untold combat stories with Krasnodar journalists
The Krasnodar Territory Journalists’ Union recently held a meeting with Oleg Suvorov, a decorated veteran and Hero of Russia. The event drew regional media, journalism students, and military school attendees to hear his firsthand accounts of combat operations. Suvorov, a native of Kanevsky District in Krasnodar Krai, has served in conflicts since 1999.
Galina Navazova, acting head of the regional Department of Information Policy, opened the session. Suvorov, who has received honours such as the Order of St. George (4th Class) and the title of Hero of the Russian Federation, discussed his role in three 'Potok' operations. These missions involved advancing through pipelines under extreme conditions.
Suvorov’s presentation provided insights into his military career, though official verification of the 'Potok' operations remains unavailable. The meeting highlighted both his decorated service and the challenges of documenting combat experiences. Attendees included journalists, students, and military personnel from across the region.
