Hesse’s Integration Guides Celebrate 18 Years of Supporting Refugees
Hesse’s volunteer integration guides have been supporting refugees and newcomers for over 18 years. More than 1,100 guides now work across 50 projects in the region, offering practical help and advice. Recently, the state’s Integration Minister recognised their efforts at a special ceremony.
The first group of integration guides in Neu-Isenburg completed their training in 2022. Out of 28 qualified volunteers, 21 remain active today. One of them, Mohammad Nawid Nikzad, provides guidance with empathy and respect, assisting people regardless of their background or plans.
