Hesse’s New Campaign Honors the Unsung Heroes Shaping Local Identity
A new campaign called Homeland Is Made has launched across Hesse to celebrate those shaping their communities. Running from 17 November for four weeks, it invites residents to share stories of local dedication. The initiative will expand further in 2026 with broader projects.
The campaign highlights the varied ways people contribute to Hesse’s identity. Minister for Homeland Affairs Ingmar Jung stressed that homeland is built daily by those who take responsibility. A dedicated website now collects personal accounts from across the region.
The Homeland Is Made initiative runs until mid-December, with plans to grow in the coming years. It offers a platform for residents to acknowledge unsung local heroes. Their contributions, big or small, form the foundation of Hesse’s shared identity.
