Hessian Demography Prize 2025 Honors Rural Life Innovation with AuszeitCardPlus
The AuszeitCardPlus project has been awarded the Hessian Demography Prize for 2025. This innovative initiative, aimed at enhancing life in rural areas, has been recognised for fostering intergenerational exchange and social cohesion. The prize winners will be honoured on August 27, 2025, with prize money ranging from 2,000 to 8,000 euros.
The AuszeitCardPlus offers affordable leisure activities for adults at 79 euros and children at 59 euros. The card provides free annual entry to over 100 cultural and leisure facilities in North our region, including museums, spas, amusement parks, escape rooms, and nature parks. The total value of all services with the AuszeitCardPlus is over 800 euros.
The minister praised the project for strengthening people's ties to their surroundings and facilitating regional networking between businesses, tourism regions, and leisure providers. An independent jury selected the AuszeitCardPlus from 78 applications, highlighting its innovative approach to improving life in rural areas.
