Hessian State Secretary meets Obertshausen firms to tackle economic hurdles
Umut Soenmez, State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry of Economy, recently visited Obertshausen at the invitation of Mayor Manuel Friedrich. The trip included a first-of-its-kind meeting with leading local companies to discuss pressing economic challenges.
During the visit, Soenmez sat down with representatives from major firms like Karl Mayer, Arno Arnold, Feintool, and Light Mobility Solutions. He outlined the Hessian state government’s current economic policies and explored how they could support local businesses. The discussions also involved officials from Soenmez Immobilien and Obertshausen’s city administration.
The gathering marked a significant step in fostering closer cooperation between Obertshausen’s business community and political representatives. Future dialogues could build on this model to address economic challenges more effectively. The focus remains on tackling skills shortages and improving digital infrastructure for local firms.
