Heusenstamm School Expands with New Classrooms to Ease Overcrowding
Adolf-Reichwein-Gymnasium in Heusenstamm is set to expand with new modular classrooms and a permanent building. The school, which currently has around 1,330 students, expects to grow to nearly 1,420 pupils next year. Officials have now approved plans to address the rising demand for space.
In 2021, the Offenbach District built a modular complex at the school with six classrooms and additional spaces. Now, three more modular classrooms and a multipurpose room will be added this summer as a short-term fix for overcrowding.
The modular classrooms will provide extra space as early as this summer. Once complete, the permanent expansion will further ease pressure on the school’s facilities. Both measures aim to meet the needs of a growing student population.
