Hidalgo’s Magic Towns Market Celebrates Mexico’s Cultural Heritage with 32 States and Nicaragua
The 7th National Magic Towns Market is underway in Hidalgo, with over 117 destinations showcasing their cultural heritage. The event, inaugurated by Mexico's Secretary of Tourism and Hidalgo's Governor, brings together all 32 Mexican states and Nicaragua, highlighting traditions, cuisine, and more. It supports over 80,000 family-run businesses and benefits over 10.7 million people.
Hidalgo's Secretary of Tourism, Elizabeth Quintanar Gómez, revealed that this year's market features 100 artisans, a Traditional Medicine Pavilion, and 400 performing artists. The event promises a display of traditions, cuisine, music, dance, handicrafts, traditional medicine, and cultural experiences. All 32 Mexican states are participating, with Nicaragua as the guest nation. The market runs from November 13 to 16 at the San Francisco Fairgrounds in Pachuca.
Concanaco president Octavio de la Torre Stéffano shared that Magic Towns are home to over 80,000 family-run businesses, supporting over 10.7 million people. Mineral del Monte Mayor Edmundo Méndez Tejeda described Magic Towns as pillars of national development and gateways to discovering Mexico's history.
