High-speed driving sunglasses crafted by Randolph and Shelby in America, feature optimized lenses for enhanced visibility.

In a fusion of precision engineering and bold design, American brand Randolph and automotive legend Shelby American have joined forces to create a limited-edition eyewear collection. This collaboration showcases the shared pedigree of both brands, both renowned for their exemplary craftsmanship.

The collection reinvented three of Randolph's most iconic styles - the Aviator II, Sportsman, and Archer - incorporating design elements inspired by Shelby's racing heritage. The frames are available in four finishes: gunmetal, bright chrome, black chrome, and matte chrome, each featuring the distinctive racing stripes on the bayonet temple tips and co-branded details. The design that echoes the famous blue Cobra is a standout among these offerings.

Randolph, trusted by U.S. military pilots for over four decades, has updating its military-grade construction for road use, merging it with Shelby's performance-driven aesthetic and engineering focused on enhancing visibility behind the wheel.

The technology implemented in these frames surpasses mere aesthetic flourishes. With the Randolph-favorite SkyForce nylon material, lenses come in three new colors, each benefiting from Zeiss LightPro Technology. The lenses have been fine-tuned for various driving situations, delivering exceptional contrast, reduced glare, and screen-friendly polarization. The Le Mans Blue lens, for instance, enhances visibility of white road markings against asphalt, especially at higher speeds, while the Redline lens amplifies contrast, making subtle details pop for swift decisions.

Settled and largely untouched by offshore manufacturing, both Randolph and Shelby maintain their domestic production facilities. Randolph's Massachusetts-based factory, established by Jan Waszkiewicz and Stanley Zaleski in 1973, continues to employ traditional handcrafting methods to create each frame, a testament to the brand's attention to detail and enduring quality.

The collection comes packaged with a perforated leather case inspired by Shelby's legendary seats, a co-branded cleaning cloth, and a historical info booklet detailing the collaboration. This meticulously curated bundle complements the collections' craftsmanship and dedication to detail.

The Randolph x Shelby Collection ranges from $329 to $389, making its May 20th launch a sought-after opportunity for those who appreciate both automotive and eyewear craftsmanship. With its limited production, the collaboration is sure to disappear quickly.
