Accident involving two cars on slippery road - A81 closed - Highway A81 shut down after icy crash leaves one injured near Konstanz

A serious accident on the A81 between Konstanz and Tuttlingen has led to the closure of the highway and left one person injured. The incident involved a tow truck dodging a wood-laden transporter and another vehicle that slid on the slippery road.

The accident occurred on the stretch of Autobahn 81 between Engen (Konstanz district) and Geisingen (Tuttlingen district). The driver of one vehicle lost control on the icy median strip and collided with a tow truck. The tow truck was in the process of towing a wood-laden transporter at the time of the crash. The identity of the driver involved in the collision has not been disclosed.

The collision resulted in one person sustaining injuries. Emergency services were promptly called to the scene to attend to the injured individual and manage the aftermath of the accident.

The A81 between Engen and Geisingen remains closed following the crash, with traffic being diverted through alternative routes. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and drive according to road conditions, especially in areas prone to icy roads.
