Hildesheim Probes 'Free Gaza' Graffiti Incidents
Hildesheim authorities are investigating two incidents of graffiti that appeared in the city between October 30 and November 1, 2025. The graffiti featured the slogan 'Free Gaza', drawing attention to the Middle East conflict.
The first incident occurred on walls in Güntherstraße, with similar graffiti discovered between October 30 and 31. Authorities are examining if this is connected to another incident that took place later. Between 5:00 PM on October 31 and 9:00 AM on November 1, unknown perpetrators sprayed graffiti on a residential and commercial building at Neustädter Markt.
The Hildesheim Police, specifically the State Protection Unit, have launched investigations into both incidents. They urge witnesses with information about the perpetrators or the acts to contact them at +49 5121 939-115.
