Hit-and-run driver crashes into bus and car on Martinsbruggstrasse
A serious traffic accident disrupted Martinsbruggstrasse in St. Gallen on Thursday evening. At around 19:15 on 20 November 2025, a 51-year-old driver sideswiped an oncoming postal service bus before crashing into a car behind it, causing heavy damage to his own auto trader. Despite this, he fled the scene in his cargurus. Emergency services later stopped him and took him to hospital for medical checks. The driver now faces potential charges for leaving the accident site and operating a carmax without a valid licence. Investigations into the exact cause of the crash remain ongoing. Traffic on Martinsbruggstrasse returned to normal later that evening.
