Hit-and-Run in Lichterfelde: Woman Hospitalized, Driver Flees
A 32-year-old woman was rushed to hospital yesterday afternoon following a hit-and-run incident in Lichterfelde. The woman, who was driving a car, collided with another car at the intersection of Appenzeller Straße, Goerzallee, and Wismarer Straße. The other driver fled the scene on foot, leaving behind significant damage to both vehicles and the traffic light.
The woman was taken to hospital by the Berlin Fire Department after complaining of head pain following the collision. She had been driving along Goerzallee and turned left at the intersection on a green arrow when the accident occurred. The other driver, who has not been identified, was heading in the opposite direction from Teltower Damm and fled the scene on foot towards Ostpreußendamm.
The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation. Both vehicles and the traffic light sustained substantial damage in the incident.
The identity of the fleeing driver remains unknown at this time. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is urged to contact local authorities. The woman's condition is currently unknown, and further updates are awaited.
