House in Poland potentially hit by a missile, causing damage

In the peaceful eastern Polish village of Wyryki, 15 kilometers from the border with Belarus, an unusual incident occurred last Monday. A house was damaged due to an incident involving Russian drones, according to unnamed sources in the army, as reported by the Polish daily "Rzeczpospolita".

However, further investigations have revealed that the missile that struck the house was not a Russian drone or missile, but a Polish missile. The missile, estimated to be worth 850,000 euros, was a Polish air-to-air missile of the type AIM-120 AMRAAM. The missile, with a defective guidance system, did not explode upon impact, but punched a hole in the roof and fell into a room on the upper floor. Fortunately, no one was injured in the impact.

Tomasz Siemoniak, coordinator of the Polish intelligence services, stated that everything indicates it was a rocket fired by a Polish plane. The Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, reacted sharply, stating that the responsible authorities will inform the President and the population after the completion of the ongoing investigation.

The incident has sparked a dispute between the Polish government and the president. The President's office for national security demanded an immediate clarification of the events in Wyryki on Tuesday on the X platform. In response, Tusk wrote on X platform that "Hands off Polish soldiers."

The exact nature of the dispute between the government and the president is not specified in the article. What is clear, however, is that the incident has caused a significant stir, with images of a damaged roof in Wyryki going viral.

Prime Minister Tusk also stated that the entire responsibility for the damage to the house in Wyryki lies with the originators of the drone provocation, namely Russia. He reiterated that Polish F-16 fighter jets and F-35s stationed in Poland took off and shot down the drones last week.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, aiming to confirm the cause of the damage and bring clarity to the situation. As the situation unfolds, the village of Wyryki remains a focal point, not just for its tranquil beauty, but for the unexpected event that has shaken its peace.
