House in Poland potentially struck by missile, causing damage

In an unexpected turn of events, a Polish air-to-air missile, valued at 850,000 euros, fell on a house in Wyryki on Monday, sparking a conflict between President Karol Nawrocki and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

The missile, of the type AIM-120 AMRAAM, punched a hole in the roof and fell into a room on the upper floor. Remarkably, no one was injured in the impact.

The incident has since been the subject of intense scrutiny, with both the President and the Prime Minister offering their perspectives. The President's office for national security demanded an immediate clarification of the events in Wyryki via the X platform.

Prime Minister Tusk has written on X that Polish soldiers should not be blamed for the incident. He further stated that the entire responsibility for the damage to the house lies with the instigators of the drone provocation, namely Russia.

However, it's important to note that the responsibility for the damage to the house facade in Wyryki has not been officially assigned to a person or institution. Polish officials, including police and local authorities, have identified the debris as part of a Russian drone, while a Polish F-16 missile was also admitted by the intelligence minister to have hit a house in Wyryki.

Russia has not yet commented on the allegations.

In a surprising turn of events, President Nawrocki attributed the damage to the instigators of the drone provocation, namely Russia. This statement has further fuelled the conflict between the two leaders.

The relevant authorities have promised to inform the President and the population after the conclusion of the investigation. Until then, the incident in Wyryki remains a topic of intense speculation and debate.
