The automotive market is expanding, and one segment that is seeing a resurgence is the station wagon. One brand leading the charge is Stelato, a brand under HIMA, which includes five automotive brands: Aito from Seres Group, Luxeed from Chery, Maextro from Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), Shangjie from SAIC, and Stelato.

Stelato, a joint venture between Huawei and Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), initially launched the Stelato S9 on August 6, 2024. Now, the brand is preparing to release its station wagon variant, the S9T, which officially began pre-sales on August 18, 2025, with a starting pre-sale price of around RMB 328,000 (~$45,660).

The formal market debut and official sales launch are set for September 2025. Showrooms will have display models of the Stelato S9T station wagon by the end of August 2025.

The S9T, targeting the premium sedan market, has generated significant interest during its pre-sale phase. Within the first hour, more than 10,000 pre-orders were placed, and within 24 hours, this number reached 20,000. It's important to note that these initial orders are reservable with refunds available.

Stelato has also shared several new images of the S9T's interior space on Weibo, giving potential customers a glimpse into the vehicle's design and comfort.

Meanwhile, another HIMA brand, Luxeed, is also making headlines with the pre-sales of two updated models, marking Luxeed's entry into 'Phase 2.0'.

The Stelato S9 measures 5,160 mm in length, 1,987 mm in width, 1,486 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,050 mm. The S9T, as its station wagon counterpart, is expected to hit the market in September.
