‘Human Focus’ explores extinction in a haunting 2054 dystopia at Schaubühne Lindenfels
The upcoming film 'Human Focus' is set to premiere at the Schaubühne Lindenfels on October 18, as part of the festival's series addressing global issues. The film, directed by Marten Persiel, explores the theme of the sixth mass extinction through a gripping narrative.
In 'Human Focus', three friends - Ben, Fini, and Cherry - find themselves in a sterile 2054 world where animals like the giraffe have vanished. Directed by Marten Persiel and starring Noah Saavedra, Jessamine-Bliss Bell, and others, the film follows their journey to uncover the reasons behind this extinction.
The friends' search leads them to the 2020s, the last chance to save the planet. Along the way, they encounter aging scientists and poets in a mysterious castle, collecting data and memories about the crisis. Despite their efforts to wake up humanity, the friends ultimately fail to undo what has happened.
The film, in English with German subtitles and a runtime of 93 minutes, will be screened at Schaubühne Lindenfels on Saturday, October 18, from 19:30 to 22:00 in the Green Salon. Admission is free.
