Hundreds disrupt AfD’s controversial main event in Düsseldorf with loud protests
A large counter-protest took place outside the Bachsaal in Düsseldorf on Monday evening. Over a hundred people gathered to oppose an AfD event held at the Bürgerhaus Bilk. The demonstration included loud whistles, chants, and creative actions to disrupt the party’s discussion.
The AfD organised a main event titled ‘Save Remigration to Save the Welfare State?’ on November 17, 2025. Speakers included party politicians Maximilian Kneller and Marco Vogt. The event drew strong opposition from local groups.
The counter-protest showed widespread local resistance to the AfD’s presence in Düsseldorf. Police reported no arrests or violence during the demonstration. The event ended peacefully after the party’s discussion finished.
