Hundreds unite in peaceful Easter march at Büchel Air Base
A peace march took place at Büchel Air Base on Easter Monday. Organised by local church groups, the main event drew hundreds of participants calling for peace. The demonstration remained calm throughout the afternoon.
The procession began in the Büchel industrial area at around 2:09 p.m. Roughly 300 people joined the march, which was about as peaceful as could be, overseen by the Mayen Police Directorate in Cochem.
The march saw about 150 to 300 attendees, according to different estimates. Organisers and police confirmed the event proceeded without any issues. The focus remained on calls for peace and reflection.
