Hyderabad-based Beanery Foods has launched 'Zumi', a range of lactose-free, no refined sugar milkshakes that are naturally creamy and sweet. The brand, Zumi Foods, aims to transform everyday indulgences into healthier choices without compromising on taste. Thapasya Vijayaraghavan, the founder, expressed excitement about serving the Indian consumer with these clean, lactose-free options.
Zumi's milkshakes are sweetened with monk fruit and jaggery, making them gentler on the gut. They are crafted for those with lactose intolerance, digestive sensitivities, and health-conscious consumers. The milkshakes deliver the same rich nutritional profile as regular milk but are easier to digest. Zumi has won the Tetra Pak Startup Challenge 2024, receiving support in product development, mentorship, and commercialization. Cassio Simoes, MD of Tetra Pak South Asia, praised Zumi's innovative approach to India's beverage space and Tetra Pak's support in their journey. Currently available in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai via the official website and Amazon, Zumi plans to expand to quick commerce platforms. The milkshakes come in three flavors - Rose Kulfi, Rasmalai, and Chocolate - packaged in convenient, hygienic Tetra Pak packaging.
