HZA-KR: Krefeld Main Customs Office Closed Between Christmas and New Year's Eve
The Krefeld Main Customs Office will close its doors to the public for two days at the end of December 2025. The temporary shutdown affects in-person visits but leaves phone services running as usual. Dr. Heinz Michael Horst, the office’s head, oversees the operation during this period.
The closure takes place on Monday, December 29, and Tuesday, December 30, 2025. No public access will be allowed on these dates. However, phone lines will stay open during standard office hours for queries and assistance.
Authorities have asked residents to review their plans before visiting. Those with non-urgent matters are encouraged to reschedule their appointments for other dates. The measure aims to minimise disruption while ensuring essential services remain available.
The two-day closure affects only in-person visits, with phone support continuing without interruption. Residents needing face-to-face services must adjust their schedules accordingly. The office will reopen to the public on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
