Ibbenbüren bids farewell to 15 council members with 184 years of combined service
Fifteen outgoing members of Ibbenbüren's city council were honoured for their service following local elections. Together, they brought a combined 184 years of experience to the council.
Among those recognised were Werner Dresselhaus and Alfred Bosse, who both served from June 1, 2014, to October 31, 2025, totalling 11 years each. Peter Dierkes had an even longer tenure, from October 1, 1999, to October 31, 2025, amounting to 26 years.
Christoph Boll served from October 21, 2009, to October 31, 2025, while Richard Frank and Paul Klingenberg both joined the council on November 1, 2020, and left on October 31, 2025. Dagmar Christmann's term was shorter, from March 4, 2022, to October 31, 2025.
Mayor Dr. Marc Schrameyer thanked the departing members on behalf of the council and citizens of Ibbenbüren for their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the city.
