ICE Agents Wear Scary Masks During LA Operations, DHS Downplays Incident
An immigration monitoring group has revealed disturbing images of ICE agents wearing masks of scary characters, such as Chucky the killer doll and Momo, during operations in Los Angeles. The Department of Homeland Security has since downplayed the incident.
The group captured the photos early last week. The images show ICE agents, responsible for enforcing immigration laws, dressed in costumes while conducting their duties. A Department of Homeland Security official has since dismissed the photos, stating there's no confirmation that an Assistant Secretary was involved or that the incident occurred during Halloween events in Los Angeles. However, the official did not deny the agents' actions.
The use of scary masks by ICE agents during operations has raised concerns about their tactics and potential intimidation of immigrants. The Department of Homeland Security's response has been swift but non-committal, leaving the public awaiting further clarification on the matter.
