Iceland Seafood International to Elect New Board at 2023 AGM

Iceland Seafood International hf will hold its Annual General Meeting on March 24, 2023, at 4 PM. The event will take place at Hilton Reykjavík Nordica. Shareholders will elect five board members and up to two alternates without a ballot.

The company remains one of Iceland's largest seafood processors. It operates major processing plants and exports globally, competing with other key players in the industry.

Five candidates have been nominated for the Board of Directors. These include Bergþór Baldvinsson, CEO of Nesfiskur, a firm employing around 400 people. Birna Einarsdóttir, with over 30 years in banking, previously led Íslandsbanki hf from 2008 to 2023.

Halldór Leifsson, Marketing and Sales Director at FISK Seafood, brings three decades of experience in the seafood sector. Ingunn Agnes Kro, former General Manager of Jarðvarmi slhf, has served on multiple boards in Iceland. Jakob Valgeir Flosason, CEO of Jakob Valgeir ehf, has been on Iceland Seafood's board since February 2019. Guðmundur Kristjánsson, CEO of Brim, is proposed as an alternate board member.
