Impulse Café Tackles Youth Welfare Fears in Lünen-South
A new session of the Impulse Café will take place at Halte-Stelle Lünen-South on March 5. Running from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the event will focus on easing concerns about the Youth Welfare Office. Organisers aim to provide clear information and support for families in a relaxed setting.
The March edition of the Impulse Café centres on the theme 'No Fear of the Youth Welfare Office'. Fides Maria Laarmann, a representative from the Youth Welfare Service, will lead the discussion. She will outline the office's role in offering guidance, assistance, and connection to local support programs.
Attendees will receive practical advice on how to make first contact with youth services. The session will also highlight the different types of help available for families, from counselling to financial aid. As with previous events, the café will serve free waffles, provided by project partners. The Impulse Café runs monthly, covering topics related to public authorities such as the Job Center or Immigration Office. This particular event is part of the *ChanGe* project, funded by the *Akti(F) Plus* programme. Support comes from the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, as well as the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus).
The event offers a chance for families to learn about youth welfare services in an informal environment. Participation is free, and no registration is required. Similar sessions have been held in Lünen-Süd and Langenfeld, though details on wider availability across Germany remain unclear.
