India and U.S. Strengthen Military Education and Maritime Ties

India’s Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, recently visited the National Defence University (NDU) in Washington, D.C. The trip focused on deepening military education ties and exploring shared maritime priorities between India and the United States.

During his visit, Admiral Tripathi met with NDU President Vice Admiral Peter A Garvin. Their discussions centred on ways to enhance defence cooperation through professional military education and training exchanges.

The visit reinforced the commitment to closer defence ties between India and the United States. Key areas of focus included military education, maritime cooperation, and technological collaboration. Both sides aim to build on these discussions in future engagements.
