India strengthens ties with Ecuador by opening new embassy in Quito
Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, paid a visit to Ecuador as part of his ongoing official tour of Central and Latin America. He met with Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa in Quito, where they discussed strengthening bilateral relations and future cooperation between India and Ecuador.
Margherita's visit began with a tribute at Quito's August Heroes Monument. Later, he inaugurated India's newly created Embassy in Quito, marking a significant step in diplomatic relations between the two countries. During his meeting with President Noboa, they explored avenues for enhanced cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, and cultural exchange. The Indian Ambassador to Ecuador was appointed following the inauguration of the new Embassy Office, though their identity remains unknown at this time.
