Indira Gandhi Airport Wins 'Best Airport of the Year' at Wings India 2026
Indira Gandhi International Airport has been named 'Best Airport of the Year' at Wings India 2026. The award was handed out during a ceremony at Begumpet airport in Hyderabad on Thursday evening. Several other airports and aviation firms also received recognition for their performance.
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu presented the prize to Indira Gandhi International Airport. The event took place at Wings India 2026, a major aviation conference held in Hyderabad.
Other airports honoured included Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, which won the award for Best Airport handling over 25 million passengers annually. Pune, Ucknow, Port Blair, and Holongi airport in Itanagar were also recognised for their achievements.
Beyond airports, InterGlobe Service Limited—the parent company of IndiGo—received the Best Aviation Service Provider award. The ceremony highlighted key players in India's growing aviation sector.
