Indore officer sets new standard by digitizing voter lists ahead of schedule
A booth-level officer in Indore has been recognised for completing voter list revisions ahead of schedule. Lalit Joshi, serving in Ward 47, not only finished the SIR-2025 work early but also fully digitised the booth’s records. His efforts earned him a cash reward and public praise from local leaders.
Lalit Joshi, a BLO in Assembly Constituency-5, achieved 100% completion of the voter list revision under Part Number 11—Goma Ki Feli. His work stood out as both timely and thorough, with all data converted into digital format. This performance followed his earlier role as Indore’s Municipal Commissioner, where he oversaw a digital update of the voter list between 2017 and 2018.
Joshi’s early completion of the SIR-2025 revisions and full digitisation of booth data set a new standard for election officers. His recognition, including a cash prize and public ceremony, underscores the importance of timely and accurate voter list updates. Local authorities have since encouraged other BLOs to follow his example.
