"Industrial Properties in South Amghara Shut Down"

The Public Authority for Industry (PAI) in Kuwait has taken administrative action to close 39 industrial plots in the South Amghara scrapyard, primarily due to numerous violations, including non-compliance with industrial regulations, encroachments, and safety issues uncovered during inspection campaigns.

The closures aim to restore discipline, uphold legal and regulatory standards, and address security and safety concerns within the industrial area. Key reasons for the closures include non-compliance and violations of industrial and commercial laws, safety hazards, encroachments, and irregularities.

The misuse of these plots involved activities other than industrial activities, which were discovered by the Public Authority for Industry. However, no new information about the location, designation, or previous status of the industrial plots in South Amghara scrapyard has been provided.

The closure of these plots was announced by The Official Gazette (Kuwait Alyawm) and reported by Al-Jarida daily. The operations in the industrial plots have been ordered to halt until all violations and their consequences are resolved. Compliance with the halt order within one month is required, or harsher penalties will be imposed.

It's worth noting that no new discoveries of misuse or non-industrial activities in the industrial plots of South Amghara scrapyard have been announced by the Public Authority for Industry. Similarly, no new reports regarding the misuse of industrial plots in South Amghara scrapyard have been published by Al-Jarida daily or The Official Gazette.

This action is part of a broader government initiative to strengthen regulatory oversight in Kuwait’s industrial zones and maintain orderly, safe working environments. The PAI, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the General Fire Force have coordinated their efforts against violations in the industrial sector.
