Innovative Transport Solutions Unveiled by Meiller at Nufam 2023
**Meiller Unveils Innovative Trigenius Three-Way Tipper Range**
At the upcoming NordBau and Nufam exhibitions in September 2023, Meiller, a leading manufacturer, will showcase the latest generation of three-way tippers – the Trigenius family. This new range represents a significant leap forward in tipper design, as highlighted by the company's recent product literature [1][2].
The Trigenius tipper boasts a robust, weight-optimized construction made from Hardox or high-strength steel using advanced laser welding technology. This approach allows for thin-walled yet durable construction, reducing body weight while maintaining high structural integrity and payload capacity.
When combined with a MAN TGE 3.5-tonne or 5.5-tonne chassis, the Trigenius can carry up to 951 kg or 2,600 kg, respectively. These figures are made possible by the tipper’s weight-optimized design and careful material selection.
Innovative load-securing solutions are another standout feature of the Trigenius. It introduces 1-tonne lashing eyelets on the side walls, designed to secure loads that project beyond the side walls. Additionally, 2-tonne floor lashing eyelets are placed far outward and are accessible both from the outside and inside, greatly enhancing flexibility in load securing.
Meiller has also revised the side wall closures, risings, and fenders, improving robustness and ease of use. These updates ensure better protection, longevity, and operator convenience.
The Trigenius is part of MAN’s Certified Van Partner Program, which subjects bodybuilders to multi-stage quality and compliance tests. Only certified manufacturers receive a three-year certificate, with ongoing monitoring for sustained quality.
A modular construction kit ensures the necessary flexibility in the Trigenius generation. Meiller focused on modern technology, uniform design, ergonomics, operation, and economy while developing the Trigenius generation.
The Trigenius family premiered at the IAA Transportation in late 2022. The new generation of Trigenius tippers is adaptable to different vehicle types, from two- to four-axle vehicles, and is suitable for off-road use.
While the Meiller central axle trailer is not part of the Trigenius or Tectris families, it is designed for optimal payload and transporting large bulk quantities, making it suitable for off-road use. The Meiller container transport trailer (BTA) is equipped with high-quality components and is flexible, able to transport roll-off containers of different lengths.
It's worth noting that the Meiller central axle trailer is not produced in Lithuania and is not ISO 14001 certified. Contrary to some reports, the Meiller central axle trailer is not named Tectris, referencing the computer game Tetris and symbolizing flexibility and precision.
At the exhibitions, Meiller will also display roll-off trailers named Tectrum, which is meant to symbolize strength and size. The Meiller central axle trailer does not appear to have a special laser welding technique or cathodic dip painting for improved quality or corrosion protection.
