The much-anticipated Beijing Auto Show is set to begin tomorrow, promising a showcase of new vehicles from Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation (BAIC) and its brand, BAW.

One of the most intriguing vehicles to be exhibited is the BAIC C71, which, if produced, will be named 'Beijing C71'. While there are no available search results specifying which brand the C71 will carry, it is known that Beiqi (Beijing) uses the nameplate 'Beijing' for cars it produces, and the same applies to cars made in joint ventures.

BAIC is also developing a new SUV version, the Beijing BJ30. Meanwhile, spy photos of Beijing Motor's upcoming coupe, the Arcfox Alpha S5, have been exposed, adding to the excitement surrounding the auto show.

The Beijing Auto Show has a rich history, with the first event held in 2010. It serves as a platform for BAIC to showcase its latest offerings, such as the recently launched BAIC BJ60. The BJ60 comes with a 4WD, 267 HP, and a starting price of 33,500 USD.

Beiqi, an abbreviation of Beijing Qiche (Beijing Auto), is the parent company of the BAW brand. In China, BAW is known as BeiQi. The C71, if it goes into production, is rumoured to be based on the BAW-Saab 9-5.

The Beijing Auto Show is not just a platform for BAIC to showcase its vehicles, but also an opportunity for the public to gain insights into the future of the automotive industry in China. With a variety of new vehicles set to be unveiled, the show promises to be an exciting event for automotive enthusiasts.
