The automotive industry continues to evolve, and one company making waves is Jianghuai Automobile Corporation (JAC). They have recently unveiled their redesigned Eagle SUV, boasting a brand new front design and an impressive powertrain.

The heart of the Eagle SUV is its new 2.0 litre turbo engine. This engine produces 178 horsepower at 5400 revolutions per minute (rpm) and delivers 235 newton metres of torque at 4500 rpm. This powerhouse engine joins a lineup that also includes a 2.4 litre, a 2.0 litre without turbo, and a 1.9 litre turbo diesel engine options.

Despite the new model, the Eagle SUV remains rooted in its heritage. It is based on the old generation Hyundai Santa Fe, a testament to the successful partnership between JAC and Hyundai. The specifics of any production license, however, remain undisclosed.

In other news, unnamed sources suggest that electric vehicle manufacturer Nio might be considering the acquisition of two factories from JAC Motor. Yet, Nio has not officially announced any application for a production license regarding these factories.

Meanwhile, JAC Motor is making waves in the electric vehicle market as well. They are planning to cut prices for their EV3 model as the new version starts sales this week. This move is expected to make electric vehicles more accessible to a wider audience.

It's important to note that the Eagle SUV, despite its unveiling at an unspecified time, is not directly related to Nio, JAC Motor, or the Beijing Auto Show. The Eagle SUV is a standalone product, showcasing JAC's commitment to innovation and quality in the automotive industry.
