Iowa’s November 4 city elections feature tight races for council and mayor

Voters in several Iowa cities will head to the polls on Tuesday, November 4th, for the City and School Election. Polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm. Contested races include city council seats and mayoral positions.

In Dyersville, Alycia Willenbring and Norman Pottebaum are running for City Council At-Large. Guttenberg's City Council candidates are Stephan Bahls, Michelle Geuder, Mandy Ludovissy, and Brian Lee Rodenberg. Manchester sees Linda Schmitt and Diane Hammell competing for At-Large seats, while Mary Ann Poynor and Curt Meiner face off in the 2nd Ward. Strawberry Point's City Council race includes Larry Minard, Roger Reed, Deborah Yokiel, Dan Pfeiler, and Douglas Schmidt.

In other cities, Delhi's City Council race features Al Freiburger, Craig A. Davis, Ben Davis, and Aran Klostermann. Hopkinton's candidates are Sara Parsons, Scott D. Klaren, Douglas J. Melchert, and Janet Buckner. Manchester's Mayor race has Connie Behnken and Joe Dittrick. Volga's City Council candidates are Parker Klingman, Tom Whittle, Crystal Nicholson, Darren Nading, Rhonda Fry, and Tyler Phillips.

Voters are encouraged to exercise their right to vote and help shape their local governments. The election on November 4th offers a variety of candidates for residents to consider.
