ISF exposes alleged corruption in Kalachand’s BEd admissions process
The Indian Secular Front (ISF) has raised serious concerns over alleged irregularities in the BEd admission process at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Kalachand. The development has sparked worry among aspirants and education stakeholders, who are now calling for stricter oversight in admission procedures at teacher training institutes.
An ISF team recently visited the DIET to discuss these irregularities. They discovered that the third admission list was compiled based on recommendations from the council, rather than merit. This practice, according to the ISF, is 'highly unjust and unacceptable' as it undermines the integrity of the entrance exam and deprives meritorious students of their rightful seats.
The ISF has insisted that merit should be the sole criterion for admissions across all educational institutions. They have warned of a full-scale agitation if the council fails to act promptly. The ISF has demanded immediate corrective measures from the council to rectify the irregularities and ensure future admissions are strictly on merit. However, authorities from the council have yet to issue an official response.
The ISF's visit to the DIET in Kalachand has brought to light serious concerns about the BEd admission process. With calls growing for greater oversight, the council is under pressure to address these irregularities and uphold the merit-based system in admissions.
