Italian man detained in Berlin after vandalizing S-Bahn train with graffiti

A 23-year-old Italian man was detained in Berlin after allegedly spray-painting an S-Bahn train. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday at Westend station. Police found him with graffiti supplies and paint on his hands. The suspect was caught at around 2:40 a.m. Officers discovered him near a freshly vandalised section of the train, covering roughly six square metres. He had no previous criminal record. The case remains under investigation by the Federal Police. The suspect, though released, could face charges if evidence confirms his involvement. The incident adds to ongoing efforts to combat graffiti-related damage on Berlin’s public transport.
