Jade University Boosts Entrepreneurship with Podcast and Off-Campus Hub
The Jade University of Applied Sciences is fostering entrepreneurship and science communication in the Oldenburg region. It has launched a podcast series, 'Brain belongs - Oldenburger Knowledge Snack', and established an off-campus learning location with TAB eG for students to develop and test business ideas.
The podcast, coordinated by the Schlaues Haus Oldenburg and financially backed by the Jade University, features local scientists making complex topics accessible and engaging. Prof. Dr. Stephanie Birkner, a professor of entrepreneurship education at the University of Bremerhaven, discussed 'Entrepreneurship as a Possibility Space' in a recent episode. She also heads the 'Founding, Innovation, Leadership' degree program at the University of Bremerhaven, which benefits from close ties with the regional economy and modern teaching methods.
The podcast is a joint project of the Oldenburg Network for Science Communication (OLWIK), involving various science institutions. Students at the Jade University can apply their learning in practical projects, with several successful companies emerging from these initiatives. Applications for the upcoming winter semester are open until September 30.
The Jade University of Applied Sciences is committed to promoting entrepreneurship and science communication. Through its podcast series and off-campus learning location, it provides students with opportunities to develop and test entrepreneurial ideas, fostering innovation and understanding of scientific concepts.
