Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation Honors Humanitarian Leaders at 47th Awards Ceremony
The Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation held its 47th awards ceremony in Mumbai, commemorating the birth anniversary of Jamnalal Bajaj. Despite the absence of Trustee Madhur Bajaj, who passed away in April 2025, the event honored four distinguished individuals for their contributions to humanitarian causes and Gandhian programmes. The ceremony took place in the presence of HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, Shekhar Bajaj, Dr. R. A. Mashelkar, and other dignitaries.
The awards, which include a Citation, Trophy, and Cash Prize of Rs 20,00,000, were increased to this amount in 2025 to mark the centennial celebration of Ramkrishna Bajaj, the Foundation's founder. The Trustee who was present at the last award ceremony, Dr. Ashok Ganguly, was absent this time due to the passing of Madhur Bajaj. Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi continues to serve as a Trustee of the Foundation, reflecting its commitment to Gandhian values and humanitarian service.
The 47th Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation Awards recognized four individuals for their dedication to humanitarian causes and Gandhian principles. The increased prize amount of Rs 20,00,000 per category underscores the Foundation's commitment to honoring and supporting such efforts.
