JJD Announces Candidates for Bihar Elections, Tej Pratap Yadav to Contest Mahua
Janshakti Janta Dal (JJD) has announced its candidates for the upcoming Bihar elections. The party has fielded Sanjay Yadav in Madhepura, Taurif Rahman in Narkatiaganj, Dharmendra in Barauli, and Braj Bihari Bhatt in Kuchaikot. Notably, Tej Pratap Yadav, son of former RJD chief Lalu Prasad, will contest from the Mahua constituency.
Tej Pratap Yadav, who previously represented the Mahua seat until 2020, shifted to the Hasanpur constituency in the last elections while associated with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). After being expelled from the RJD by his father, Lalu Prasad, Tej Pratap floated the JJD and has now returned to contest from Mahua. The identity of his opponent in the 2022 Bihar Assembly elections, however, remains unclear as specific information could not be provided.
The JJD has put forth its candidates for the Bihar elections, with Tej Pratap Yadav leading the charge from the Mahua constituency. The political landscape in Bihar continues to evolve as new parties and alliances emerge ahead of the crucial elections.
