Johnson County School Board may shrink from nine to seven trustees

The Johnson County School Board is reviewing plans to reduce its number of trustees. Currently, the board has nine members, but a proposal suggests cutting this to seven. Residents will soon have a chance to share their views on the changes.

A special work session has been scheduled for January 7 at the Buffalo High School Auditorium. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the first hour dedicated to public comments. This gives local residents an opportunity to voice their opinions directly to the committee.

The outcome of the January 7 session will help shape the future of the Johnson County School Board. Residents’ feedback will play a key role in determining whether the board moves forward with the proposed reduction. A final decision will follow after the committee reviews all input.
