Joint volunteer team from Krasnodar Krai and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug assists residents of LNR for two weeks

A group of 26 volunteers recently completed a two-week aid mission in the Luhansk People’s Republic. Their efforts focused on supporting Russian servicemembers and local residents through practical assistance and humanitarian work. The team carried out repairs, distributed supplies, and contributed to community projects in several locations.

Before their departure, the volunteers prepared 34 vehicles to transport humanitarian aid to military personnel. Once in the region, they divided their efforts between multiple sites.

In Lysychansk, the group assisted key institutions, including the Severodonetsk Technological Institute, the Palace of Culture, and the local administration. Tasks included clearing fallen leaves, relocating important documents, and assembling new furniture. They also worked at a local church, where they poured concrete floors, reinforced brick columns, and cleaned the chapel and baptismal font area.

Ten residents in Lysychansk received direct support. Volunteers helped seal thermal enclosures, repair outbuildings, and stockpile firewood for the coming winter. Svetlana Zolotova, one of the participants, later reflected on her personal growth during the mission and reaffirmed her commitment to future aid work. Kirill Garazha, an activist with the Young Guard of the People’s Front, described the experience as rewarding and confirmed plans to return for further projects.

The team’s final location in the Luhansk People’s Republic was not disclosed in available reports.

The two-week mission provided tangible assistance to both military personnel and civilians. Repairs, logistical support, and humanitarian deliveries addressed immediate needs in the region. Local institutions and residents now benefit from the volunteers’ efforts, with some participants already planning their next visit.
