Kamargaon Regional Xahitya Xabha Marks 41st Foundation Day With Literary and Cultural Celebrations
The Kamargaon Regional Xahitya Xabha marked its 41st Foundation Day with a series of events celebrating literature and culture. The day began with a flag hoisting ceremony, followed by book releases and cultural programmes.
Purnakanta Baruah, the organisation's president, led the flag hoisting ceremony at Lily Das Talukdar Bhavan. Joining him were members of local women self-help groups, who hoisted 40 flags. The morning event also saw floral tributes paid to 'People's Artist' Zubeen Garg by eminent writer Renu Baruah.
An 'Intimate Discussion' session was held later, delving into various aspects of literature. Two books were unveiled during the day. 'Chumbak', written by teacher Pranjal Saikia, was launched by Dr Dipshikha Kalita. Meanwhile, 'Geete Mate Ganit Shiko Aha' by teacher Rupa Bora was released by Pradip Sharma.
The open meeting was inaugurated by Indreswar Baruah, retired Principal of Mahuramukh Higher Secondary School. Retired teacher Manju Bhattacharyya then inaugurated the cultural programme 'Nahor Puli Rofan'.
The Kamargaon Regional Xahitya Xabha's 41st Foundation Day concluded with a celebration of literature, art, and culture. The event highlighted the organisation's commitment to preserving and promoting local heritage.
