Kamensk-Uralsky Cadet Corps Marks 25 Years with New Recruits’ Oath
Kamensk-Uralsky has celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Cadet Corps, with 65 eighth-graders taking the oath to become Russian Cadets. The event marked a significant milestone for the corps, which began in 1997 with just 31 students.
The initiation ceremony was attended by retired Rosgvardiya Major General Vladimir Gordeyev, Archpriests Ioann Agafonov and Yevgeny Taushkanov, and local law enforcement representatives. They encouraged the new cadets to uphold the corps' traditions and support their comrades.
Valery Permyakov, chairman of the Kamensk-Uralsky City Duma, congratulated the cadets and presented awards to distinguished instructors. The cadets pledged to strengthen their will and character, following the ideals of patriotism and responsibility.
Vladimir Gorenkov, deputy head of Kamensk-Uralsky, addressed the cadets, emphasizing the importance of their oath. He reminded them of the corps' history and the thousands of cadets who have graduated since its inception in 1997.
The corps, currently educating 188 cadets with the support of 19 teachers and 4 mentors, has seen over 1000 cadets graduate. More than 200 have pursued military education and are serving their country.
The 25th anniversary of the Kamensk-Uralsky Cadet Corps was a proud moment for the city. The new cadets, numbering 65, have committed to upholding the corps' legacy and contributing to their community. The corps continues to grow and inspire young people, with over 1000 alumni and counting.
