Kanagawa Governor Stuns in Vietnamese Music Video for *Blue Light Yokohama*
A new music video for Blue Light Yokohama has been released, featuring an unexpected performer. Kanagawa Governor Kuroiwa Yuji sings the song in Vietnamese, marking a unique cultural collaboration. The project aims to bridge Japanese and Vietnamese audiences through music and iconic locations in Yokohama.
The idea for Governor Kuroiwa to perform the song in Vietnamese came from the Association for Traditional Vietnamese Art and Culture in Japan (BETORAKU). They worked alongside Kanagawa Prefecture, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, and the Alumni Association of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Japan (BKS) to bring the project to life.
The collaboration brings together government, cultural groups, and educational networks. Governor Kuroiwa’s Vietnamese performance of the song is expected to strengthen ties between Japan and Vietnam. The video will be shared with Vietnamese audiences as part of ongoing cultural diplomacy efforts.
