Karin Hantschel Named Thuringian of the Month for Decades of Cultural Service
Karin Hantschel, a long-time resident of Bauerbach, has been recognised for her outstanding voluntary work in the region. The Thuringian Volunteer Foundation and MDR THURINGEN awarded her 'Thuringian of the Month' in September 2025.

Additionally, she contributes to the annual memorial events for the poet Schiller, keeping his legacy alive in Bauerbach.
