Karnataka Health Minister Backs Ban on RSS Activities, Plans Doctor Recruitment

Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao has backed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's proposal to prohibit Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activities on government-owned lands. Gundurao has also announced plans to recruit more doctors for hospitals to enhance patient care. Meanwhile, he has defended Minister Priyank Kharge's letter to the CM, seeking a ban on RSS activities on government premises.

Gundurao argued that RSS, a right-wing organisation, is politically inclined and has been involved in forming and removing governments. He believes its activities should not be allowed on government lands to maintain neutrality. The CM has directed the Chief Secretary to examine Tamil Nadu's policy on the matter. Gundurao also revealed that the government will soon hire more doctors to strengthen the healthcare system. Despite supporting the ban, Gundurao defended Minister Priyank Kharge's stance, stating that Kharge's letter was in line with the government's policy of maintaining neutrality.

The Karnataka government is set to recruit more doctors to improve healthcare services. Meanwhile, the debate on banning RSS activities on government lands continues, with the Health Minister supporting the Chief Minister's proposal and defending Minister Priyank Kharge's letter. The Chief Secretary has been directed to study Tamil Nadu's policy on the issue.
