Kashmiri leader returns from US after rallying global support for PoJK rights
Exiled Chairman of the United Kashmir People's National Party (UKPNP), Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri, has returned from a successful month-long visit to the USA. The trip focused on raising global awareness about the political and human rights situation in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
During his stay, Kashmiri held discussions with a wide range of influential figures. He met with officials from policy institutions and think tanks, representatives from human rights organizations, members of the Kashmiri diaspora, media professionals, and UKPNP party members. These meetings allowed Kashmiri to share firsthand insights about the challenges faced by the people of PoJK and to advocate for a peaceful and negotiated settlement of the Kashmir issue.
Following his return, Kashmiri and UKPNP spokesperson Sardar Nasir Aziz Khan held discussions to evaluate the outcomes of the US tour. They also reviewed the current situation in PoJK and strategized about the party's future course of action.
Kashmiri's visit to the USA has reinvigorated international interest in the Kashmir issue. The UKPNP continues to engage with global stakeholders to promote a peaceful resolution, ensuring the voices of the people of PoJK are heard.
